What Identity & Purpose Coaching Actually Is
There’s a quiet moment in midlife that doesn’t get talked about enough.
The children need you differently now, your career no longer feels like the right fit, relationships or home life shift, or you simply wake up one day and realise you’ve changed, but the world still relates to an older version of you.
This isn’t a crisis, and it doesn’t mean you’re lost.
It’s an identity shift, a natural transition where your sense of self evolves, and your purpose wants to be redefined. And as women, I feel we have quite a few over the years.
Many women describe these stages as:
“I don’t quite know who I am anymore.”
“My confidence has faded without me noticing.”
“I feel restless, but I can’t articulate why.”
“I want something more, but I don’t know what that is.”
Because it’s subtle and internal, it’s often overlooked or ignored. But identity changes deserve attention, especially in midlife, when so much of who we’ve been has revolved around roles, responsibility and caring for others.
What is Identity & Purpose Coaching?
As an Identity and purpose coach, I support women through seasons of change, particularly when life transitions faster than their identity can keep up.
It’s not about hustle culture, reinvention, or becoming a different person.
It’s the gentle, grounded process of coming home to yourself, after years of aligning with what was expected of you.
